His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister, shared Iftar with national service recruits at the Sweihan Training Centre in Abu Dhabi on Monday.
The visit, which coincides with the 'Year of Community', aims to strengthen national unity and a sense of belonging among the youth.
Sheikh Hamdan praised the recruits’ discipline and dedication, highlighting that national service plays a vital role in building a strong defence system and instilling values of loyalty and sacrifice.
He wished the recruits success in their duties, and added that they represent the future of the nation and are key to its progress and stability.
Sheikh Hamdan also stated that national service is not only a duty but an honour that requires dedication and the readiness to place everything one holds dear on the line for the sake of the nation.
