Emirates has temporarily suspended all flights to Iran (Tehran) and Iraq (Baghdad and Basra) until and including Monday, 30 June 2025, following heightened regional tensions after Iran’s attack on Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.
In light of the escalating situation, several flights in the region have been suspended or rerouted as a precaution.
According to a statement from the airline, passengers connecting through Dubai to these destinations will also not be accepted for travel at their point of origin until further notice.
The airline has advised impacted customers to contact their travel agency for rebooking or reach out directly to Emirates if they booked through official channels.
Travellers have been urged to keep their contact information updated via the 'Manage Your Booking' portal to receive timely notifications.
While services to Iran and Iraq are paused, Emirates has confirmed that other flights are continuing as scheduled following careful risk assessments.
Some flights on 23 June were rerouted en route to Dubai but did not require diversions. To ensure safety, aircraft are operating on paths well clear of conflict zones, although minor delays may occur due to airspace congestion and longer routing.
It said the airline continues to prioritise the safety of passengers, crew, and operations and is committed to adjusting its operations as needed based on the latest developments.
Customers are encouraged to check their flight status before heading to the airport.
