Four inter-city bus routes are being reinstated by Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) following a drop in COVID-19 cases and the growing demand for the service.
The routes that will return to service from May 19 include: E100 from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station to Abu Dhabi, E201 from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station to Al Ain, E315 from Etisalat Metro Station to Muwaileh, Sharjah, and E700 from Etihad Bus Station to Fujairah.
From May 19, commuters can also look forward to a new metro link service named F38, which runs between Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station and Dubai Sports City, passing through several districts.
"Route F38 between Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station and Dubai Sports City via the Dubai Production City will start at 06:00 am and terminate at 12:30 am (of the following day), at a frequency of 20 minutes," said Adel Shakeri, Director of Planning & Business Development at the RTA's Public Transport Agency.
"On the same date, the RTA will extend Route 50 and Route N30 to reach the International City Bus Station, improve the frequency of merging Route D03 and D03A to be Route D03 only, and extend Route 367 to pass through the School of Research Science," he added.
#RTA is restoring 4 intercity bus services as of May 19th, thanks to life returning to normal following the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic and the growing demand for the service. https://t.co/6pqh6VIL3f pic.twitter.com/NgrB6dqc9G
