The UAE government is due to hold a news conference on developments related to the pandemic at 5 PM.
This comes as the country reported 883 new cases of COVID-19 and 416 recoveries after the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) conducted 85,917 additional tests across the Emirates on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the number of recoveries has gone up to 67,359 after another 416 people received the all-clear.
The ministry has also confirmed the death of two patients, bringing the total number of fatalities to 393.
This means that there are currently 8,229 active cases in the UAE.
