The UAE's Ministry of Defence has announced on Saturday night that it is currently responding to missile and drone threats.
Following an alert sent out to the community at around 9:28 pm, the ministry has advised residents and guests to remain in a safe place and follow any updates on official channels.
The ministry also asserted that the sounds heard were the result of interceptions by their air defence systems.

The UAE later shared an alert at around 10:00 pm assuring the community that the situation is safe, and activities can be resumed normally.
