The UAE job market is softening, and more professionals are job hunting. That’s the message from recruitment consultants Morgan McKinley, who have just released their statistics for the summer. And they say the fall in oil prices is having an impact on the hiring market. But there has been a rebound in recruitment at the end of September. Trefor Murphy works for Morgan McKinley. He says 2015 has been disappointing so far:

Looking ahead, Murphy believes that the professional recruitment market will bounce back for the rest of the year and into 2016. “Things were already picking up at the end of September and the growth trend consolidated at the start of October. There is every reason to believe that employers will make up for the slow rate of hiring in the third quarter. That said, there is still a surfeit of oil on the market and much depends on where the price of oil goes next,” Murphy concluded.
