Two restaurants in Abu Dhabi's Mafraq Industrial City have been shut down for violating food safety rules.
Bangla Snacks Restaurant and Express Darbar Restaurant were pulled up for offences related to food handling and storage, as well as failure to maintain proper food temperatures.
The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority also found hygiene breaches, with reports of inadequate cleanliness of floors and surfaces.
It has urged the public to report food safety violations and complaints by calling 800555.
