The speed limit on the Abu Dhabi-Al Ghuwaifat Road will be reduced from November 15. According to Abu Dhabi Police, the change aims to instruct motorists to cut their speeds to maintain traffic safety. The first stretch starts from the Al Dhafra bridge diversion to Baynunah Forest, which will be limited to 100kph. The Baynunah Forest to Barakah region speed limit will be reduced to 120kph, while the limit from Barakah to Al Ghuwaifat will be set to 100kph. All roads will have an extra 21kph allowance. The limit for heavy trucks will be 80kph, while passenger buses can travel at 100 kph on all phases of the road.
