The 20th batch of UAE national service recruits have been thanked for their dedication.
The 2023 high school graduates were greeted by Major General Pilot Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan at the Police Rehabilitation Department in Al Ain.
Sheikh Ahmed reviewed the training programme as well as inspecting various facilities including a modern shooting range, AI-equipped training halls, and virtual training exhibits, observing training scenarios and educational initiatives.
It comes a decade on from the UAE National Service programme being introduced as mandatory for Emirati men aged between 18 and 30 and voluntary for those aged 30 to 40.
Abu Dhabi Police expressed their pride in the recruits dedication and emphasised the programmes' role in enhancing national identity and capabilities, with gratitude to parents for their support.
A UAE government directive is to strengthen cooperation between the Armed Forces and Ministry of Interior, advancing strategic plans and joint operations.
