Social media is abuzz with the hashtag “#our_army_our_pride” --- dedicated to the homecoming of the first contingent of UAE Armed Forces from Yemen. It has been used by UAE citizens and expats this morning, as the country welcomes its heroes at a grand reception at the Sweihan military camp. Top leaders and officials at the event are marking this historic day with a military parade, rousing patriotic speeches and praise for the country's brave soldiers. The first batch of UAE Armed Forces has handed over their responsibilities to the second batch, who are now stationed in Yemen. It’s part of the Saudi-lead Arab Coalition forces participating in Operation Restoring Hope, fighting to support the legitimacy in Yemen.
