The distance learning programme of schools across the UAE will be evaluated later this month.
The virtual inspections will be carried out by the ministry of education and the regulators in different emirates.
They will be focused on teaching and learning processes, student development as well as the school leadership’s role in managing distance education resources.
Parents’ opinion will also be taken into consideration.
An update on the Dubai Knowledge and Human Development Authority's (KHDA) website says, "each school evaluation is expected to take approximately five hours, and schools will be given prior notice.
"It will include online meetings with the principal and senior leadership team, as well as remote observation of lessons."
