The previous two competitions were held in Washington D.C. and Mexico City.
Each year, the event addresses one major challenge facing the planet and encourages participants to solve the problem through teamwork and innovative thinking.

Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation, spoke to ARN News.
The UAE won the bid to host the challenge at the 7th World Government Summit in Dubai last February.
