Fifty youngsters will be trained to create meaningful and engaging stories online with the power to influence and raise awareness on water sustainability under a new UAE programme.
The Blue Content Creators Programme aims to develop a new generation of responsible content creators who can use storytelling, video, digital platforms and AI to communicate effectively to audiences around the world.
"The decisions we make today about water will shape the world inherited by future generations," highlighted Abdulla Ahmed Balalaa, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Energy and Sustainability. "It is essential that young people's voices and ideas help guide these decisions."
Khalid Al Nuaimi, Director of the Federal Youth Authority, said the programme would broaden participants' knowledge, develop their skills and enable them to apply their creativity to issues of national and global importance.
It comes as the UAE prepares to co-host the 2026 United Nations Water Conference with Senegal in Abu Dhabi from December 8 to 10.
The programme will be run by the National Media Authority, in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Federal Youth Authority, and in collaboration with the New Media Academy.
It will include three weeks of training in November, covering water issues, storytelling, video production and digital publishing strategies.
