The UAE's preparations for the new academic year have been reviewed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
During a meeting with ministers and senior officials, His Highness said he looked forward to a safe and successful start for over a million students across the country next week.
He also expressed confidence in the ability of the UAE's educational institutions, officials and staff in managing the situation in the best possible way.
Sheikh Mohammed added that distance learning will continue to be an integral part of the school and university educational system.
Minister of Education, Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, reassured that comprehensive measures are in place to ensure a smooth start to the new school year.
