Authorities have renewed calls for parents to monitor their children at all times after a two-year old Emirati boy drowned in a villa swimming pool in Fujairah on Saturday. The toddler is believed to have drowned after sneaking into his uncle's neighbouring villa and using the pool. The boy's father searched for his son after returning home from a mosque, but found him unconscious and floating in his brother’s swimming pool. The toddler was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
