Emirates airlines have cancelled flights to Chennai, India, due to "expected heavy rainfall" on Wednesday and Thursday.
The announcement was made on the carrier's website which listed four impacted trips.
This includes flight EK542 from Dubai to Chennai on November 10 and EK543 from Chennai to Dubai on November 11.
Flight EK544 from Dubai to Chennai on November 11 and EK545 from Chennai to Dubai, also on November 11, stand cancelled.
The statement clarified that passengers with Chennai as the final destination "will not be accepted for travel during this period from any point on the Emirates network," adding that the airline "regrets any inconvenience caused."
Affected travellers are required to contact their respective booking agents for rebooking options.
UPDATE
FlyDubai, in a comment to the ARN News Centre, confirmed that their planned flight to Chennai on November 10 have been "rescheduled" to November 11 over "adverse weather conditions."
The statement also said: "We are continuing to monitor the weather conditions in Chennai and apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused to travel schedules.”
Other UAE airlines including Etihad and Air Arabia have been contacted for a travel update to Chennai.
