Dubai cracks down on non-compliant tourist, chartered bus operators

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is urging passenger transport operators to fully comply with regulations across all services — including chartered, tourist and international buses.

The call comes after 15,575 inspections were carried out by RTA field teams to ensure safety and licensing compliance.

Saeed Al Balooshi, Director of Passenger Transport Activities Monitoring from the RTA’s Public Transport Agency, says the goal is not to issue violations, but to raise service standards and ensure reliable, safe transport for residents and visitors.

The inspections were conducted in coordination with other government bodies, including Dubai Police and immigration authorities at the Hatta border, to curb irregular practices.
