Authorities in Abu Dhabi are turning to artificial intelligence and high-end technology to ensure that businesses are complying with social distancing rules.
The Department of Economic Development has launched a smart emergency control room to monitor sales outlets in real-time.
The centre is equipped with a live camera system that is operated 24/7 by a dedicated inspection team.
It will help officials identify violations in real-time and also quickly follow up on customer complaints.
