Two people have been arrested in Ajman for running an illegal trading operation involving nearly 800,000 unlicensed electronic cigarettes.
Ajman Police acted on a tip-off about a villa in the emirate suspected of selling and storing these unregulated e-cigarettes.
Following a coordinated operation with the federal prosecutor for tax evasion crimes, police raided the villa and discovered 797,555 e-cigarettes stored in five rooms. The confiscated goods included products from numerous brands.
The two Asian suspects are now in federal custody.
Colonel Ahmed Saeed Al-Nuami, Director of the Department Criminal Investigations at Ajman Police, praised the efficiency and expertise of the officers that led to the arrest of the suspects.
He also urged the public to be cautious when purchasing goods from unauthorised sellers and to report any suspicious activities.
