Yemen's Saudi-led coalition said on Tuesday two ballistic missiles launched by Houthis toward Saudi Arabia's Khamis Mushait have been intercepted and destroyed, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The coalition also shared the interception of a ballistic missile launched towards Riyadh by the Houthis on Monday night.

Saudi Arabia's airports have been under repeated attacks in the past few days, with at least 13 killed and over 300 injured over the weekend due to attacks on its Riyadh airport.

Operations were suspended at King Khaled International Airport in Riyadh, with an extension announced by the civil aviation authority on Monday.

The coalition earlier stated on Sunday that air defence systems intercepted and destroyed cruise missiles launched in the vicinity of King Khalid International Airport.
