Architect of Petronas Towers dies aged 92

The man who designed the famous Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur has died.

According to the governor of Argentina's Tucuman province, César Pelli passed away in the country at the age of 92.

"With much regret we receive the sad news of the death of the great architect César Pelli," Juan Manzur said on Twitter.

He was half Argentinian and half American.

The Petronas Towers were the world's tallest buildings for six years.

Pelli was also behind the One Canada Square tower in London and Japan's National Museum of Art.
