UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani have underscored the importance of building on the global recognition of the State of Palestine during talks in Abu Dhabi.
The leaders said it's a crucial step towards fulfilling the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people.
During the talks held in Qasr Al Shati on Wednesday, the two sides also reviewed close ties and explore opportunities to enhance collaboration.
The two sides discussed ways to expand bilateral cooperation in developmental and economic fields that can support both nations’ priorities and benefit their people.
Iraqi Prime Minister is in the UAE as part of a working visit.
Discussions were also held on a range of regional and international issues of shared concern, exchanging views on the latest developments in the Middle East, and establishing the need of a clear path to lasting peace and advancing diplomatic initiatives that support the region’s security, stability, and development.
