UAE air defences responded to incoming missile and drone threats from Iran on Sunday afternoon, the Ministry of Defence said.
The alert was issued at 4:20 p.m., and the MOD emphasised sounds heard were due to their interception.
Residents are urged to follow all issued safety and security instructions.
