Six people were injured in three different accidents on Dubai's roads in the last 48 hours.
Dubai Police said jumping a red light and failure to maintain a safe distance were the main causes.
The first accident occurred on Financial Centre Street on Monday morning, in which a minibus driver suffered moderate injuries after his vehicle collided with a four-wheel drive.
The second accident took place on Sheikh Zayed Road in the direction of Sharjah on Monday morning when a motorist jumped the red light and crashed into another. Three people were injured in the incident.
Six vehicles were involved in the third accident which led to a temporary traffic diversion on Dubai- Al Ain Road on Tuesday morning.
"Initial information indicates that the accident occurred as a result of not leaving a sufficient distance between the vehicles," said Colonel Jumaa Salem bin Suwaidan, Acting Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police.
The official once again highlighted the dangers of being distracted while driving.
