A state-of-the-art hospital opened on Seychelles' third most populated La Digue Island, equipped to provide services to around 3,000 residents annually.
The project was built at a cost exceeding AED 25 million, in line with the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and contributions made by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), and "Mother of the Nation".
After inaugurating the facility, Wavel Ramkalawan, President of Seychelles, expressed his gratitude to Sheikh Mohamed and Sheikha Fatima for her generosity.
It's the first multi-specialty hospital located on La Digue Island, offering several services, including physical therapy, emergency care, general medicine, dental care, audiology, ophthalmology, in addition to operating and recovery rooms, and units for kidney dialysis and maternity care.
The hospital also includes ultrasound, cardiology, medical gas, and medical sterilisation units, in addition to laboratories and medical waste treatment units.
It aligns with the UAE's humanitarian approach to helping friendly nations, which constitutes supporting vital development, especially in the healthcare sector.
