A man has been arrested in Dubai for carrying out unlicensed hair transplant procedures inside his 3-bedroom apartment.
Investigations revealed that the man, whose identity has not been released, was promoting videos of his services on social media.
Following a raid by teams from Dubai Police's Anti-Economic Crimes Department and Dubai Health Authority, the suspect's apartment has been sealed and all medical materials found in his make-shift clinic confiscated.
The suspect was conducting the procedures inside one room, where officers found medical devices, chemicals and instruments used for the procedures.
Dubai Police said the man violated the country's healthcare regulations and put the life of his "clients" at risk.
The public has been warned against seeking services from unlicensed medical centres and encouraged to report such illegal activities through Dubai Police’s online channels.
