A flydubai flight was suspended prior to take-off, on Friday morning, from Dubai International Airport (DXB) the airline has confirmed.
The flight to Hargeisa International Airport, Somaliland, was due to leave the Dubai at 3.55am before it was evacuated.
A flydubai spokesperson confirmed: "flydubai flight FZ 661 to Hargeisa International Airport (HGA) suspended takeoff on 24 January 2025 from Dubai International (DXB).
Our trained cabin crew followed established procedures and all passengers and crew evacuated the aircraft safely. flydubai’s main priority is the wellbeing of our crew and passengers who were transferred to the terminal and were accommodated onto a replacement aircraft and continued their onward journey.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused to the passengers’ travel schedule."
The cause of the incident is being reviewed, the airline told the ARN News Centre.
