The UAE has announced 561 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the tally to 13,599.
Meanwhile, 121 more people have recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,664.
36,366 tests were conducted in the country in the last 24 hours which resulted in the diagnosis of the new cases.
Eight new deaths were recorded according to the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention with total fatalities now at 119.
The patients who died had underlying chronic issues.
Official figures show that a total of 10,816 COVID-19 patients are undergoing treatment in the country.
The ministry also announced that 22 confirmed cases were of people with special needs.
In response, the ministry is now setting up home tests for families that have individuals with special needs.
