The World’s Tallest Donation Box has hit the 1.2 million-light mark.
According to the Dubai Media Office, Burj Khalifa has achieved its target of collecting 1.2 million meals in just a week in order to support the #10MillionMeals initiative.
They also revealed that individuals of more than 110 nationalities contributed to this success with their donations.
People and organisations were given the opportunity to buy a light on the façade of Burj Khalifa for as little as AED 10 each.
One light was the equivalent to a meal for those in need.
