Authorities in Dubai have honoured four drivers from the public transport system for their honesty and good morals.
Taxi driver Firos Charupadikkal returned a bag containing valuable items to the authorities after it was left behind by a tourist, while bus drivers - Hassan Khan, Aziz Rahman and Hussein Nazir - stepped up to help a stranded driver and fixed her car's faulty tyre.
Mattar Mohammed Al Tayer, Director-General, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), applauded the drivers and expressed pride in the way they conducted themselves.
With thousands of people using the public transport every day, these gestures by the staff reinforces how safe the system is.
