Tennis star Maria Sharapova has dropped out of the Qatar Open. The former world number one cited a persistent arm injury for the withdrawal, the organisers said. The injury in her left forearm has forced the five-times grand slam champion to pull out of an Australian Open warm-up tournament earlier this year.
