The third and final T20 match between India and South Africa was abandoned after a downpour in Kolkata. South Africa had already claimed the series after winning the first two games, but India had hoped for some momentum before the start of the ODI series. However, those hopes were dampened by a heavy shower an hour before play was due to begin at Eden Gardens last night, which the outfield couldn’t recover from. The first of five 50-over meetings between the sides takes place in Kanpur on Sunday.
