Conor McGregor has retired from the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).
The former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion made the announcement on Twitter.
In 2015, the Irishman defeated Jose Aldo to win the UFC Featherweight Championship via a knockout thirteen seconds into the first round.
It is still the fastest victory in UFC title fight history.
Hey guys quick announcement, I’ve decided to retire from the sport formally known as “Mixed Martial Art” today.

I wish all my old colleagues well going forward in competition.
I now join my former partners on this venture, already in retirement.
