Three Bangladeshi and two Indian players have been penalised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) after an altercation at the Under-19 World Cup.
The incident that took place on the field after the match ended on Sunday, saw players involved in an exchange of words as well as some pushing and shoving on the field.
While Bangladeshi players, Towhid Hridoy, Shamim Hossain and Rakibul Hasan have been given six demerit points, Indian cricketers, Akash Singh and Ravi Bishnoi were given five.
Bangladesh had claimed their maiden global trophy with a three-wicket victory in Potchefstroom after they beat India in the World Cup final.
