Tyrrell Hatton and Matthew Fitzpatrick are tied for the lead after the opening round of the season-ending DP World Tour Championship.
The two Englishmen shot matching rounds of seven under par 65 at Jumeirah Golf Estates while world number one and Race to Dubai leader Rory McIlroy struggled to a one under 71.
Fitzpatrick, who has won the DP World Tour Championship twice before, says the Earth course suits his eye.
