Fans allowed at New Zealand Super Rugby after COVID-19 curbs eased

New Zealand Rugby has confirmed that there will be no crowd limits at stadiums when the domestic season gets under way this weekend.

It comes after the country lifted virtually all coronavirus restrictions after health officials said there were no active infections.

"We're incredibly proud, and grateful, to be the first professional sports competition in the world to be in a position to have our teams play in front of their fans again," NZR Chief Executive Mark Robinson said in a statement.

Super Rugby Aotearoa involves New Zealand's five Super teams.
