Arsenal are into the knockout stages of the Champions League, after a 3-0 victory at Olympiakos. The Gunners needed to win by two goals to progress, and went one better thanks to a hat-trick from Olivier Giroud. In Group F's other game, Bayern Munich claimed a 2-0 win at Dinamo Zagreb. Elsewhere, Chelsea topped Group G with a 2-0 win over Porto, whose defeat means they drop into the Europa League after Dynamo Kiev beat Maccabi 1-0. In Group E Roma qualified for the last 16 thanks to a goalless draw with BATE Borisov and Bayer Leverkusen’s failure to beat Barcelona (1-1). Despite having an inferior goal difference, the Italians go through thanks to their superior head-to-head record with the German side. Meanwhile, Valencia were knocked out after a 2-0 defeat at home to Lyon in Gary Neville’s first game in charge. However, even a win wouldn't have been enough, after Gent overcame Zenit St Petersburg 2-1 to confirm second spot in Group H, behind the Russians.
