Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, Bangladesh restricted Hong Kong to a modest 143 for 7 in 20 overs.
Young pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib starred with the ball, claiming 2 for 21, including the key wickets of Zeeshan Ali (30 off 34) and Babar Hayat (14 off 12).
Taskin Ahmed (2/38) and leg-spinner Rishad Hossain (2/31) also provided crucial breakthroughs.
Nizakat Khan top-scored for Hong Kong with 42 runs off 40 balls.
