The 25th edition of the Gulf Scrabble Championship starts today in Dubai. The event serves as the UAE qualifier for the World Championships in Perth in November. This year’s competition will feature the Gulf debut of the 2015 Collins Scrabble Words dictionary, which contains around 6500 new playable words. New words include commonly used internet lingo such as emoji, facetime and hacktivist.
