A yellow weather warning alert was issued by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) on Monday as winds reaching up to 40kmph were expected, causing rough seas.
The yellow alert was issued in the early hours of Monday morning and blustery conditions are expected until 6pm.
Waves could reach 6 feet and the weather department noted that Arabian Gulf, especially westward, will experience rough seas.

Those engaging in outdoor activities have been advised to do so with caution.
Earlier on Monday some parts of the UAE saw scattered rainfall, mainly around Fujairah and Khor Fakkan.
