Those who want to check their antibody counts should do so three months after their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
That's according to Dr Walid Zaher, Chief Research Officer at G42 Healthcare, the UAE Sinopharm distributor, who was speaking to Dubai Eye 103.8's Business Breakfast show about how this can be followed up every three months subsequently.
He added that healthcare authorities are approaching people with low antibody counts to arrange a booster shot.
But Dr Zaher stressed that the number of people who need to have the additional dose is very low.
Low antibody counts are tricky to assess because every lab is using its own test to measure them, he added.
People are advised to visit their doctor first to discuss whether they need to have an antibody count and a booster dose.
Dr Zaher said there is enough Sinopharm vaccine in the country and only a small minority of people will need to have a third shot.
