The UAE has welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire between Iran and Israel, expressing hope that this breakthrough will pave the way for de-escalation and a more stable regional environment.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised the diplomatic efforts of US President Donald Trump and the constructive role played by Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, in facilitating the agreement.
The Ministry emphasized the importance of continued coordination to prevent further escalation and reduce the humanitarian and security risks facing the region.
Reaffirming its longstanding position, the UAE called for restraint, dialogue and political solutions — urging all parties to avoid further conflict that could hinder development and threaten regional security.
The UAE also reiterated its commitment to working with regional and international partners to build lasting peace and promote security, stability and development.
