The UAE has called for the strongest possible international support to halt the Israeli aggression on Gaza and ensure the swift delivery of unhindered humanitarian aid.
Speaking at the Arab League Council’s ministerial session in Cairo, chaired by the UAE, Minister of State Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar stressed the need to stop the escalation in Gaza, the West Bank and Jerusalem, and to confront illegal Israeli practices, including settler violence.
He reaffirmed the UAE’s support for the two-state solution, highlighting the recent conference in New York co-hosted by Saudi Arabia and France, where the UAE endorsed a roadmap toward an independent Palestinian state.
Al Marar also highlighted French President Emmanuel Macron’s stated intention to recognise Palestine at the upcoming UN General Assembly, calling it an important step toward a just and lasting peace.
On broader regional issues, Al Marar reiterated the UAE’s call for a peaceful resolution to the dispute over the three UAE islands (Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb and Abu Musa) occupied by Iran and reaffirmed its commitment to diplomacy or international legal channels.
He also voiced support for Sudan’s path to democratic transition, Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and greater international support for Yemen.
The UAE also welcomed Lebanon’s move to limit weapons possession to state authorities, calling it a step toward internal stability.
Al Marar emphasized that humanitarian efforts, combating extremism and promoting tolerance remain central to the UAE’s foreign policy.
He called for unified Arab cooperation and diplomacy at what he described as a "critical moment for the region."
The minister also pointed to the UAE’s focus on future partnerships in climate, energy, AI and education — noting the country’s commitment to clean energy and sustainable development.
