The foreign ministers of the UAE and Turkey have discussed the latest developments in the region and efforts towards de-escalation.
During a phone call, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Hakan Fidan emphasised the importance of protecting civilians.
They also discussed the humanitarian fallout of the crisis, and efforts to provide safe passage routes for delivering aid.
