The main activities for observing the first Martyrs' Day on 30 November have been approved. According to national news agency WAM, events will start at 8 am, with the lowering of UAE flags across the country. A minute of silence and prayer will follow at 11:30 am after which the flags will be flown again with the playing of the national anthem. Residents are encouraged to participate online using the hashtag “We will never forget their sacrifices”.
