President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has reviewed the implications of regional developments on international peace and security with President of Sierra Leone Julius Maada Bio during his working visit to the UAE on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the two sides also looked into its effects on maritime security and the global economy.
President Bio reiterated his condemnation of the Iranian terrorist attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure in the UAE and other countries in the region, noting that they constitute a violation of sovereignty and international law and undermine regional security and stability.
The two leaders also looked into ways to advance further bilateral ties for the benefit of both nations in key sectors, including the areas of economy, trade, investment, renewable energy, and sustainability.
The discussions come within the framework of the UAE-Sierra Leone Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement that was signed in February.
The two leaders affirmed their shared commitment to advancing the objectives of the agreement, which provides an important framework for cooperation and partnerships that support both countries’ progress and prosperity.
