The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) is intensifying its humanitarian campaign in Yemen.
Two planes, carrying 60 tonnes of food supplies have been dispatched to Hadramaut governorate.
The food items will support needy families during the holy month of Ramadan.
"The ERC has launched a range of relief operations aimed at meeting the needs of those affected by the current economic situation in Yemen, to help them overcome the current crisis," said Dr. Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, Secretary-General of the ERC.
He added that H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the ERC, is personally monitoring the humanitarian and development programmes.
