A UAE relief flight carrying 100 tonnes of essential food supplies has departed Sharjah for the Gaza Strip.
It's under the “Humaid Air Bridge” initiative, and broader UAE's “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3" campaign to ease the suffering of thousands of families in Gaza.
An aid ship carrying food and other supplies worth more than AED8 million, under Ajman Ruler, His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi's initiatives, is also being dispatched to Gaza to help meet basic needs.
The total UAE aid to Gaza has surpassed 122,000 tonnes, with a value exceeding $3 billion.
The UAE continues to implement a range of humanitarian initiatives and expand relief support to affected populations in Gaza. The UAE also set up the UAE field hospital and UAE Floating Hospital in Egypt’s Al Arish to offer crucial healthcare to wounded Palestinians. In addition, six desalination plants were set up to supply clean drinking water daily to Gaza.
