Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has consulted with the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and the US about the crisis in Sudan.
During the phone call, Sheikh Abdullah, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken agreed it was essential for the involved parties in Sudan to immediately end hostilities without any preconditions.
The foreign ministers called for a return to the framework agreement on the transition to democracy, national news agency WAM reported.
Sheikh Abdullah emphasised on the importance of stopping the escalation and returning to the framework agreement to ensure the security and stability of Sudan and its people.
