The UAE Ministry of Interior, through the Federal Traffic Council, has launched its third traffic safety campaign of 2026, under the slogan 'Accident-Free Summer'.
The three-month campaign, coinciding with the start of the summer vacation and travel season, emphasises the need for heightened awareness of essential safety precautions for both vehicles and road users.
Drivers are being urged to check their tyres, lights and indicators, avoid overloading roof racks, and never leave flammable items or children inside parked vehicles.
The campaign also reminds motorists to follow speed limits, keep a safe distance from other vehicles and obey traffic laws.
It will be implemented in partnership with police and road safety authorities nationwide, with awareness messages shared in Arabic, English and Urdu across social media.
